Among photography buffs there is a kind of tribe, of which I am part for good or for evil, to whom we like to take photos but also attract us much the cameras, lenses and accessories. We really enjoyed the “apparatuses” necessary to make photos. This has a chance and that, looking for the perfect house, the perfect lens or accessory essential, finish by spending more time testing cameras and lenses to take pictures themselves. It is a very real danger.
Photo enthusiasts and especially the “photographic Homebrew” almost unanimously consider that camera phones or smartphones are practically a joke. There are very prestigious photographers who get upset when you mention the pictures taken with mobile phones. They feel that, for them, what comes out of a moving picture can not be considered. I’m afraid this to we are attending, and even the future that is about to come, will pass over them like a steamroller. But that’s another story. I do not want to lose sight of the amazing technological marvel subject of this article.
A phrase that is also much said among amateur photographers and aims to put some sanity in the endless pursuit of the perfect photographic equipment is this: “the best camera is the one you have with you”. As you can see, all provide very interesting things, but none of them provide all. Well, none except the title of this article: Nokia Lumia 1020. Sensor has a whopping 41 megapixels, a physical size similar to that of bridge cameras, midway between compact and DSLR APS-C. It also has a huge target brightness signed by none other than Carl Zeiss and is equipped with optical stabilization. Of course, you can say that, on paper, has it all.
What is most striking is that brutal resolution 41 Mpix, although dosed a different way than we are used because not all will eventually be part of your photos depends on the aspect ratio that you set with the camera.
